SEA SUNDAY: Next Sunday there will be a second collection to support this vital ministry in providing pastoral and practical help to vulnerable merchant seamen.  The Apostleship of the Sea port chaplains and ship visitors visit 12,000 ships each year in 57 ports around Great Britain.  Take an envelope today and return it next week.  90% of world trade is transported by ship and 150,000 ships visit our ports each year.  Seafarers can suffer loneliness, dangerous working conditions and exploitation on the high seas.

THE JUSTICE & PEACE GROUP would like to explore the possibility of housing destitute asylum seekers in the old convent/presbytery at the bottom of the hill.  We would like to bring this up at the next Parish Council Meeting.  If you have any thoughts or views on this please come along to this meeting.
