Events - Lunchtime BBQ at Threshfield

A barbecue was held at St Margaret's in Threshfield with proceeds going to CAFOD and Fr Frank Nolan's parish in Tanzania. Denis & Juliet Watkins, parishioners and proprietors of the Angel in Hetton were chefs for the day and they were helped by many fellow parishioners. A brass band provided light summery entertaining and the weather was beautiful.

Cheers to Peter Fattorini (who maintains the St Margaret's website) and to Denis Watkins. They were experts at the carvery and the spit-roasted lamb was delicious!

Chris and Juliet cooked the most scrumptious sausages, burgers, chicken drumsticks and seafood kebabs at the BBQ... and they generously doled out second and third helpings!

No Catholic outdoor event is complete without a tombola stall... and in the photo above, the new exercise of church-scaling.

Raising money for charity should always be as fun and delicious as this!!
